No, it senses rectified AC, there is nothing to do with any MCU supply filtering. There is some firmware filtering, but I didn't analyze what exactly FW is doing in this regard. And it actually don't have to be that strict. If adding such a feature, power lost detection could be just blocked for a couple of mains periods, forty odd ms should be plenty to switch a relay, and not even close to VDD dropping below brown-out threshold. It's somewhat half a second power lost message is held on the display prior it shuts down. Phasing out a transformer is pretty easy, basic stuff, no big deal even for a beginner.

Ideally a relay switch actuated by firmware: If a 12v tool is detected, the relay switches the transformer secondary automatically. Would that be feasible?
I will do it like this, in iron profile I have extra field min/max volgate And mcu will switch between 12v and 24v according to profile

Based on this, I measured from r55 to u5, and found a few ohms of resistance. Reflowing all of U5 seems to have fixed my problem. With no resistor, adc is steady 1023, and R is steady 2087. Room is steady 24.
With resistor, I have adjusted it to 1000, but the last digit still fluctuates rapidly (999 to 1001). If touch the board by the edges, the number drops to 991. Is that normal? Or is there still an issue?
it's all okay, depending on PCB quality, used dielectric material (controlled impedance, etc) it can flactuate between 1000 and 1040 within 1 sec...

Yup it would be nice to have 3.5" or bigger screen, bad cant find any big oleds on ali, I have samsung gaalxy s3 screen just no idea how to drive it, would be perfect for nice touchscreen display
It's in todo list amongst other stuff, I myself run T210 and T245 configured as tweezers, works ok, but most of the time I need different temps of each tool. Same temp kinda defeats support for two Irons (you can connect any 2 irons to the station, but temp.will be identical for both...)
Checked HW, FW, went through Sparkybg's notes - this will require new HW revision, which won't happen at least until summer
The need of different temp. as I can understand is based on using T120 and T245 like a tweezers ( more powerful one than micro tweezers ). The idea is to save your work, just replace D1-D4, Fuse1 and of course your Trf. if it is 120 W and connect 2x T245 instead. Also firmware alignment for the extra shunt load, aside from tool config. in iron.c
You understood me incorrectly I meant to say that both irons will have same them like tweezers do. So there is a need to be able to set different temp for each iron,

Мы имеем универсальную станцию с двумя каналами но их мы можем настроить только работать паралельно как пинцет и тут вопрос ,- почему бы немного не дописать код и не сделать работу етих каналов независимыми и тогда будет чтото на подобии как у жбс но хоть и без возможности имень вместе пинцет и паяльник или может еще лудше добавить в железо еще хотябы один канал и тогда мы сможем софтово собирать уже почти любые конфигурации из двух инструментов, ето актуально для нано версии, и конечно же не обойдется и без дополнительных каналов сна на подставке каждого инструмента
Another question for those who understand the essence of the matter. We have a universal station with two channels, but we can only configure them to work in parallel like tweezers, and the question is, why not add the code a bit and make these channels work independently and then there will be something similar to the JBC but albeit without the possibility of a name together with tweezers and a soldering iron, or maybe even better to add at least one channel to the iron and then we can collect almost any configuration from two tools softly, this is true for the nano version, and of course it will not do without additional sleep channels for subs each tool

Ok, so maybe I can provide more details. Maybe relevant, maybe not. When I connect handle for hakko tips with no tip inserted or I just connect ID resistors for Hakko, display shows zero on bargraph. When I connect handle T245-A with no cartridge inserted or I just connect only ID resistors for T245, display shows full on bargraph with repeatedly flashing pwr sign on the left. I checked videos on YouTube to compare it to my Unisolder and I found one video with the same behavior regarding bargraph when T245 is connected with no cartridge inserted https://youtu.be/-v7KMNc_rJk?t=2786
Hi, I just built Unisolder. I am having strange behavior with T245 handle and C245 cartridge when I try to swap cartridges. Handle is recognized as JBC C245, which is ok I suppose. I insert cartridge and it heats up. Then I remove cartridge and consequently I insert it back (the same cartridge, still hot) and display shows “Heater open” I must wait some time until Unisolder recognize the cartridge again. When I swap cartridge with another one, cold one, it is recognized with no problem. Does anyone have the same problem? Is there any issue with my Unisolder or is this problem with hot swap in this design of Unisolder? Thanks for any advice.

tried with 200C, turn on station, wait for tip to heat, remove tip, insert again no problems, T245 here.
