The devices (this is all of 'em, right?):
Code: [Select]
> ls -l /dev/ttyUSB*
crw-rw---- 1 root uucp 188, 0 Sep 5 10:13 /dev/ttyUSB0
crw-rw---- 1 root uucp 188, 1 Sep 5 10:13 /dev/ttyUSB1
I'm in the uucp group. I checked on that.
I'm using the SVN version of UrJTAG (built using a PKGBUILD from AUR) and I have libftd2xx installed (also built using a PKGBUILD from AUR). (I'd provide links to the relevant AUR PKGBUILDs but this forum software doesn't like off-site links from new users.)
I tried using strace to get some more insight into why it's failing. Looks like just before outputting the error message, it's trying to open a file named "/usr/lib/libd2xx_table.so" which doesn't exist on my box. Maybe that's supposed to be installed along with libftd2xx but wasn't for some reason?
I'd provide a list of all files libftd2xx "owns" on my box, but this forum software seems to mistake Unix file paths for off-site urls and having too many of those in my post appears to prevent new users from posting.
One thing, though. I did have to modify the udev rules file installed by libftd2xx. It had entries for vendor=0403 product=cff8 and vendor=0403 product=6001, but no entry for vendor=0403 product=6010. It didn't seem to affect whether/how the /dev/ttyUSB* files were created, permissions on them, or anything else like that.
That's about all of the information I can think to provide. I hope you flks have an idea why it's failing for me. If I can provide any more information, please let me know. Thanks very much in advance for any help you can provide!
