Ok, since apparently there is no way to use UART pins instead USB to send commands to the IRToy with the current firware (v22), I'll try to modify it to create a new mode ('w') using "usart.h" to solve the problem. I'll let you know the advances...

Hello, does anyone know if it is possible to send commands to the IR Toy v2 through the UART TX pin instead the USB connector? If not, could I do it using the IRTX pin (with raw data?) or is it worth to use a TTL to USB converter?
The idea is to avoid connecting the IR Toy to a USB port using as power supply and ground the +5V and GND pins from ICSP.
