$9.99 that's cheap but I wish it had a free and open source IDE.

Bus Pirate Support / Re: bus pirate with arduino pro mini,
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What exactly do you want to do ? You can use the BPv4 to program the pro mini with avrdude. You can send a recieve data by hooking up the BPv4 to the arduino pro mini's serial port. If you want to use the BPv4 with Arduino IDE your going to have to add some line to the programmmer.txt file http://https://taylanayken.wordpress.com/2011/05/04/using-bus-pirate-with-arduino-ide/

Bus Pirate Support / Re: Seeed ship out defective Bus Pirate V3
Well I think Seeed has improved quite a bit in the past few month. They'll send you replacements and most probabily through express shipping.
With the volume they sell there will been a few defective units that get past Q.C

After pouring money into things and not being able to do a lot, my wife says, "why don't you just quit?"
You need to put in a lot of time and effort not money. Don't but kits instead buy tools. You should start by reading someting like "Practical Electronics for Inventors". By assembling a kit or building someting from a instructable does not make you an enginner, kid in China and other Asian countries can assamble stuff 1000 times faster than most of us. You should buy kits when there's a sale or you can hack them to make something cheaper instead of building from scrap.

Arduino Yun why does it use a Atheros AR9331 ? I think you need to sign a NDA to get a data-sheet (correct me if I'm wrong). Connecting a Arduino to cheap TP-link router would be more fun. You'd get to void you're routers warranty and solder some stuff. Buying something of the shelf is not fun.

General discussion / Re: WTF SeeedStudio?
Is is just me who had a bad experience with Seeedstudio or is it really bad ?
I take back what I said about Jaye. He's a good guy but takes a very long time to respond. Guess he is very busy.
"I'm so sorry for bring you confused. please calm down."
Seeed's customer service is slow and sometime their reply's don't make sense.
Please do something about the customer service Eric. Except the customer service everyting else is good. Thanks for supporting the open source hardware community
