Update: i generated an impact project based on the jed file in the led3 tutorial project, clicked on the device, clicked on the option marked with a green file "one step xsvf", what popped out a default.xsvf what happend to have the same function then the original ledinverse file, with what the dev board was shipped, so i guess i got it going?! cheers gerd
I can program the cpld c2c64a with buspirate, and lets say i have a propper vhd code with a correct ucf file. all good and tested. How can i just create a xsvf file with xilinx ise 13.1. i think it has something to do with impact but i'm not totally sure, because the gui is very confusing.
i was able to install firmware 4.1 again and was able to communicate via terminal again, the device even passed the self-test. when i installed the bpxsvf player firmware again, i was not able to communicate via terminal and the xsvf player waited for reply again. and the vreg was only lightining after the selftest. Am i doing something wrong, i tried the same jumper connection like in the selftest, and the configuration without jumpers between +5V and Vpu; +3.3V and ADC
i did connect the pgc and pgd pins earlier and today and it never brought the mode led to shine :(, but the guys from the chair helped me out with a pic programmer, so i will try to load the orginal bp firmware software first, to be a the starting point again. i let you know, if something happens.
now my situation. after lots of confusion, i was finally able to communicate with my bp v3b over tera term, after changing the .ini file with the one mentioned in the forum. so i was able to enter the bootloader mode to install the bpxsvf player firmware. it just didnt worked with ds loader, so i tried pirate-loader (even though the .zip file was marked as deprecated), because this was my last chance. the update worked according to the messages in console, but when i tried to load a xsvf file, i get the message "waiting for reply... waiting for reply..." ... in the console. and somehow iam not able to communicate to the bp with the terminal anymore.
