Project development, ideas, and suggestions / Re: Little Wire - "Minimal AVR programmer and more"
Hi zivimo;
  The schematic looks ok.
The Zeners should be 3.6V, not 2.5V.

The traces on the pcb are way too thick.
There are lots and lots of near-shorts.
Hold the pcb up to a very strong light.
Using a magnifier, go between the traces with an xacto knife.

Also the USB shell is not grounded.

I use size 16 or 12 to go through pins.
Attached is my pcb, it works fine.
It has a ground plane.
When in Eagle, type "rats" on the pcb  command line, (or click the 5-dots symbol lower left.)

General discussion / Re: My account was deleted completely
Hi;
  Ian has graciously offered  to hire a programmer to try and restore the postings.
I think it's not worth spending actual money on.

Better to buy dpropicweb lunch and many many  beers.

Hi Guys;
  Accidents are just that - accidents.
I am just glad that it was not a security breach.

I once wiped out 2 days work at a data-input centre by flipping 0x97 into the panel switches instead of 0xA7.
This formatted the drive instead of reading it.
I caught it, but once started it was fatal.

16 people - 2 days work, plus the lost time re-loading the OS and all their programs.
Very embarrassing,  I was, as dolabra was, "mortified".

Crap! - I just realized that I also lost my free pcb coupon.

Hi systemstech;
" copy one by one from google's cache and repost them."
  I like you guys.
Why would I subject you to that?
The annoying thing is losing all the PM's.
There were physical addresses of people in there.

I was planning to re-do the AVR-Component-Tester anyway.
Maybe DP does tape backups?

Open Bench Logic Sniffer / Re: Can't capture UART signals
Hi lamanna;
  If you are using a serial adapter, you might be generating +-12V signals.
A Max232 or similar chip does this.

Also by default the OLS captures at 200Mhz to start with.
It has a small buffer, so the first serial bit will fill it at once.

As tkg said, lower the capture speed to 4x the baud rate, or say 100KHz to start with.
You should be able to short pins 2 and 3 on the DB9 serial connector to get it to echo back to itself.
(RX to TX).

Try a capture, and invert the trigger if it does not work.

General discussion / My account was deleted completely
H guys;
  This morning there was a spam post from a kickstarter. project
I replied with "SPAM".

My account was then deleted completely.
All posts that I replied to, I am missing from.
I had to create a new account and re-register

Of course all posts/projects that I have posted are gone.
I am now a "new user", so this is my first post.

If this is possible, then security should be improved on the board.
