a couple years ago , i made this small board, and still have around 100 bare pcb laying around. i'm practically giving them away on tindie...( or send me a pm) https://www.tindie.com/products/6439/
its very nice because:
- you can see all pin labels saving you some time. -you can order the chip as a free sample from Microchip. -the connector for the programmer is ready to plugin -usb connector too
Last year i made a small batch and it was quickly sold out. now I ordered a large batch , and im reducing the price for everyone to enjoy... i send worldwide via tindie....
I am working/developing in an alarm system , and i have almost all figured out except the battery backup power :
-I want to use a 12V lead acid batery , very common in alarm systems.. -i found some easy to implement trickle charging integrated circuits , which will take care of the battery charging.. -the idea , is the alarm continue to work , even if there is no electrical power in the house..;
the question: how can i gently : make the battery start suppling power when power is OUT , and the other way around too?
All ideas are welcome !!
one idea i had : use a small relay , conected in such way that in the absence of power , will plug the batery right away..
GTP USB LITE is a pic programmer based on the pic18F2550 disgned by SISPIC from spain A lot of people built this circuit , but it became obsolete.. so i decided to hack the firmware...
GOOD NEWS -Now it runs in windows, linux and mac . -Now firmware is opensource..
Last month i checked the anual fees report from my bank !!! 256 euros in abroad purchases !!!! (346 US dollars) !!! BAM !!!
Most people dont realize this , because they never check this report , or the bank hides it... ive talk with several people , who thought i was being scamed , but they had even a bigger bill than mine !!!
Its true , i travel a lot , most of the fees are from all the withdrawals ive made in ATMS abroad , but also , from all purchases i make online. I buy a lot of stuff abroad because is cheaper ,but it seems , i am paying the diference anyway ...
Here are some of the ideas i got so far to reduce the fees: -its smart to take some cash when travelling, and finding a good exchange rate !! i did this in thailand , a lot better !! -when making withdrawals abroad , ATM proposes a local exchange rate ... CHOSSE NO , Visa exchange often is better .. -when making withdrawals abroad , ATMS have all diferent fees and rates... -using bank acount insted of credit card with paypal...
now: my questions... Please any tips on how avoid fees when buying from china :: or how to avoid paypal fees??? Would it be posible to open a bank acount in china ?? is free to transfer/wire money to it ?
Hello boys , this a humble board i made , its an enhanced version of the minimal board.
It was made to simplify breadboard connections for a 18f2550 pic micro.
Features: - improved Silkscreen ART including a polinesian MOAI :) - smd 1206 components , more simple to solder -1 smd led -mini usb conector -reset pads -mclr resistor
due to the success for my first board , i am putting on sale a second board: This time its a 18F258 & MCP2551 CAN BUS Minimal BOARD i made a couple month ago.
Its fully tested , and allows to comunicate via CAN BUS.
First than all : Congratulations for the great work with the webplataform !!
I have have been going around this for a while.
-I think it would be pretty interesting to be able to interface Nagios or other linux monitoring/data loging/graphing GNU software , with microcontroles via TCP/IP. -Of course to monitor sensors (humidity , current , temp , etc) and control stuff remotely (configuration registers , triger relays , DACs etc).
