USB serial LCD backpack / Re: Arduino and Serial connection
Hello,

do I understand right - the SERIAL LCD Backpack is not capable to understand serial commands, just USB?
I just bought two of them to control Displays via Arduino (serial), and I'm pretty lost because it doesn't work at all.
Is there any official release for a firmware now, what supports serial connection to the serial backpack? :-/

Bus Pirate Support / Re: OBD2 J1850/VPW Mode
Hi,
I am currently connecting my Arduino to the OBD2-Bus (2000 Chevy Corvette) with an ELM322 Chip, what offers a very simple way of communicating with J1850VPW. The bigger Version (ELM327) also offers CAN Communication.
The only problem: The ELM Chip alone costs more than the whole Bus Pirate.
Woud be very nice, if you could implement a ELM Compatible Protocol for the BP!
