Project logs / Re: Really universal soldering controller
Measured Q1 in diode mode while the device is powered down:
positive probe on 1 gnd on 2 : 0,63V
gnd probe on pin 1 positive on 2: 1,4V
gnd on pin 2 and pos at pin 3: 0,84V
Q1 is gone isn't it?

You mean the LM2675M-3.3 Step Down on U1 right?

What is the least amount of power I can feed the board while trace the fault back?
Can I Use a Lab Powersupply with grounding?
Thank you so much !

Until my new display arrives:
Would the unisolder power on even without a screen ?
Where are good testing points to close in on the issue?

What happened to your display? Interleaved rows at the bottom are definitely caused by physical damage. Regarding two column image shift - check Sparky's post here http://dangerousprototypes.com/forum/index.php?topic=7218.msg71563#msg71563
I damaged it a when I dissassembled the front because I bricked it. I uploaded the bootloader + firmware version first and then because I had said line, I uploaded the standalone over usb and bricked it.
The issue was there before that, even the rows at the bottom directly after I flashed the new firmware. I will look at the board when I am home.
Could you recommend a display from aliexpress I can use to repair it?
Thanks!

board version 5.2, for you the latest version of the bootloader + firmware UniSolder-5.2-2020.04 from 09.11.2020
On the PCB is written 5.2 C - Are 2020.05 and 2020.06 not supported because of the LCD?
Should I get a SD1306/09 LCD or will my lcd be supported in the future?
Can I use the new nanotweeters with it?

Since my 0,1 10 ohm resistor isn't here yet I took one with 5% (gold ring) and with 4 point measurement came to 10,476 ohm. I soldered the resistor into a connector I had laying around and stuck it into the frontside port between SenseA and Vout- as it is described in the guide.
Pressed the middle button for a time to get into the calibration menu. The R value is really moving fast. When I press the button long enough it eventually goes stable. I set it to 1047 because it is roughly 100 times the value since I couldn't get it to 1048.
The room temperature is accurate. I press the middle button for a long time again to get out of calibration mode.
I measured the temperature with a A class PT1000 and a MAX31865 chip based system and a 191 thermometer that came with the kit. Unfortunately the measured temperature is around 20-30°C under the temperature on the displayed on the Unisolder. I am using C210 original JBC tips.
How can I fix that?
