Project logs / Re: Really universal soldering controller
Few questions:
1. during assembly, must I connect iron before I connect  power? Or for testing I can do  not need to have iron connected?

Can anyone, who bought 5.2 c version from Tindie, confirm
J2 connector IRON wire colors:
red is Vout1+
 orange is  Vout1-
 black is Vout2+,
yellow is Vout2-

Thanks

Project logs / Re: Really universal soldering controller
I received my Unisolder 5.2c ( from Tindie). There are front, back sides and LCD module , some cables, resistors.... .
But no instructions/procedure how to connect all these stuff. Is there any website link available where I can find instructions?
Or can anyone plese help a little bit?
Thank you.

Project logs / Which power supply to use?
in the list of feature is written: power: 12-24V, AC or DC (24V 6A toroidal transformer is the best possible power source)
Does it mean I can use only 12V power adaptor but it must have 6A?
What power supply do you use and what is your experience with your solution?
Thank you for reply

Project logs / Re: Really universal soldering controller
While waiting for Unisolder 5.2c arrival , I would like to learn more about this promising device. My aim is using the Unisolder with JBC C115 cartridges and JBC nanotweezer.
JBC says:
Quote
Cartridges last 5 times longer than other brands thanks to the JBC Most Efficient Soldering System and the Sleep & Hibernation features.
https://www.jbctools.com/most-efficient-soldering-system.html#modulSLEEP&HIBER

Question:
Are these features already  included in C115 soldering profile  so that cartridges will last as if they were  used with original JBC machine or not yet?

As I understand Unisolder controller can be used with various soldering tips/ tweezers.
I need to use it with JBC  C105, C115 tips  and  NP115-A tweezers.
Are the following  changes enough?

For  JBC C105/C115:
Outer shell (green wire), connected to EARTH
Heater negative (blue wire), connected to Vout1-
Heater positive (red wire), connected to Vout1+ and SENSEA
3.0k between ID and Vout1-
1.0k between ID and Vout2-

For JBC Microtweezers:
Outer shell of both tips (green wire) connected to EARTH
Heater 1 negative (blue wire) connected to Vout1-
Heater 1 positive (red wire) connected to Vout1+ and SENSEA
Heater 2 negative (brown wire) connected to Vout2-
Heater 2 positive (yellow wire) connected to Vout2+ and SENSEB
1.0k between ID and Vout1-

The connections are the same, but the ID resistors for C105/C115 are different and there is still no profile for nanotweezers.
I was told that C105 line was discontinued. What is resistor for  C115 line?
And is there a plan to add the profile for nanotweezer?

Project logs / Re: Really universal soldering controller
@sparkybg : Would it be possible to change a design and add one more socket so that ONE controller could be used with tweezer and iron like jbc nase-2b nano rework station? User talkos made something similar , which is excellent  but it would be easier to reprogram CPU  and make a design more universal. What do you think? Thank you for your reply

On the first page of this discussion
sparkybg gives features:

Here is a short list of features:
- power: 9-28V, AC or DC
- 2 separate heater control channels
- 2 independent sensor inputs
---
---
so I thought that 2 separate heater control channel also means a possibility to have JBC tweeaer and JBC iron in ONE control unit.
Can you please explain?
Thanks

I would like to use the soldering controller with JBC nano tweezer AN115-A and  nano soldering iron  JBC-NT115-A.  Can I have connected these two (at the same time) to the controller? In other words can I have 2 JBC sockets with  the controller? Or what is the best solution?
