C245 , clones and originals all work great. C210 , Some clones work display ACQ (40W) , others show quick cycle between open sensor and attempt to go to temp. C115 , original works perfectly, display shows ACE(14W) ,clones don't work, some show ACE until reaching temp them switch between ACF(130W) and ACE constantly.
Is software capable of dealing with this ? so that clones work ?
I changed my case Socket so that i could put ID resistors inside each soldering iron plug. Under the microscope i identified ...one... pesky strand of one of the wires shorting to the other!
Problem solved. works perfectly. Was a case of " everything looks right but nothing works ".
