Client software / Re: Jawi's Logic Sniffer client software - support and bug reports
I just downloaded the new v0.9.2 client. I've found that the I2C protocol analyzer din't work properly for me, it detects the SDA/SCL lines the wrong way around. When manually setting the lines it works as expected. Before I used v0.9.0, which worked fine with I2C.

I've attached the zipped .ols data file I'm working on.

Thanks Maff^! Great work on the case, I'll post some of the pictures on the blog. I think we probably all have an extra DS/Maxim case laying around.

Could you please share: what preorder is your Bus Pirate from, and does the MODE LED work? I'm trying to get a handle on the extent of the dead LED problem in preorder 2.

Cool, I'll keep checking the blog :).
The Bus Pirate I got is from preorder #3. The Mode LED works fine (although it is not as bright as the red PWR and VREG LEDs, which a bit of a shame, because that way it's sometimes hard to see if the USB LED is blinking). When I applied some Hot Glue to the LED, to fixate that 'light pipe' it went dark for a short period, but thats kinda expectable :D. Fortunately it works still fine.

Bus Pirate Support / Re: BP v3 Arrived
Hi There, just wanted to let you know my Bus Pirate v3 from Seeed arrived last week. I was kinda surprised to see how small it is, although I should have known, the usb connector and pin header are a pretty good indication of how big a circuit board is :). Anyway, I'm very pleased with it, and I've played around a bit, interfacing with some SPI/1-wire/I2C devices a had laying around here. I also tried out the STK500 firmware and successfully programmed an AtTiny2313. I'm planing to use the BP as a AVR programmer more often, now I'm still using a borrowed Arduino with the Mega-ISP firmware that should be replaced.

Unfortunately at the time I've placed my pre order on the BPv3 Seeed Depot the Bus Pirate Probe Kit was completely sold out. Also the casing that now is available wasn't in the shop yet at that time.
So I decided to create my own housing. I had a small transparent box laying around where the BPv3 fitted in perfectly. It's a box from Dallas Semiconductors / Maxim that contained some DS1820 samples I ordered a couple of years back. Using a Dremel (clone) I created notches (is this a proper English word?) for the USB connector and the pin header. A couple of days later I also added some 'light pipes' because those red LEDs are pretty bright, maybe even a little to bright :).

Anyway, here are some pictures of the result:

As you can see the bottom of the BP casing (top of the original box) still has those ugly blue letters. I'm planing to remove those (using some turpentine, but first I want to play some more with my new gadget/tool :)).

Anyway, thanks Dangerous Prototypes for this awesome tool.
