[attachment=1] My last board turned out OK. [attachment=0] But not brilliant on the castellation as the copper edge had some of the routed portion still attached. The mask was miss-aligned, but I can live with all of this for the spec, price and speed provided.
DHL must be trying to increase their revenue on shipping to UK desinations.
The following 3 orders were sent via 3 different HK shipping handlers, does that make a difference?
Feb 3 sets of proto + stencils, $6.18 charges. Order val inc DHL $133. April 2 proto & stencils, no charges. Order val $93. May 1 proto & stencil, $24.34 charges. Order val $52!!!
The order history list shows my latest order (April 5) as received, but clicking the order number it says in production, so there is a code issue there. There are also board images generated from the gerbers :)
I sent a message a few mins ago asking someone to push the job before I realised it was in production, so please ignore that message.
Sounds fair to me, very happy with service and quality.
Like chmr said duty can be a pain if you are trying to get the cheapest deal. In the UK £15 ($21) is the threshold where you get to pay an extra 20% VAT.
The sting is Royal Mail charge you over twice as much as the VAT, a tenner ($14), for collecting the VAT from you, so your $21 package ends up costing you $41!
Just tried putting boards in the cart and I get a blank white scrren with a single word, error. Same if I try and view the cart from the menu.
Also, if you use more than one dot in the uploaded zip filename the name gets truncated. When you upload thing_v1.1_subver_3.zip and thing_v1.2_subver_8.zip both are displayed as thing_v1.zip
Shipping / billing address, a checkbox for using the same data would be useful.
I uploaded my file, selected options selected DHL shipping then logged in ( needed new account old Dirty PCB site login details didn't work) and it changed to default shipping & country.
DHL shipping was listed 7 times for between $18 and $73 all for for 1/2 day shipping.
I selected the cheapest DHL @ $18 and checked out with a total showing of $54.95, at Paypal price was $59.95, I pay and get sent back to the order status, my shipping is showing Hong Kong Post 8 weeks!
The destination and shipping are still selection lists that can be changed and the total changes when you select one, HKP adds $8 and DHL adds $23 to the total I've already paid? Useful for printing higher receipt for expenses, ha ha ha.
I've also opened a ticket to clarify that I will get DHL, as 8 weeks is beyond my deadline.......
