Bus Pirate Development / Re: Bus Pirate v3 failed self test
I bought 10 regulators ($3+ ... just the shipping was a killer, $4 on $3... ugh).  The only thing I'm afraid of is that I replace the regulator and it goes again.  Hence the reason I was wondering if there was a better place to check.  I checked for a short and didn't see one.  Don't know how quickly it would burn if it did short, but... I didn't see any shorts.

Bus Pirate Development / Re: Bus Pirate v3 failed self test
I'm having a similar issue with the 5V failing, however, the 5V is just failing, connected to ADC or no.  I checked the regulator, and it does appear to have 5V coming in, but nothing coming out (at least, it doesn't appear so, since the PSU can't seem to be turned on).  Here is the output of W and i:
VREG too low, is there a short?

The output of the voltage regulator appears to be 1.5... I'm guess, just a shot in the dark here, but that's not supposed to be 1.5 for a 5.0v regulator?  Anywhere else I can check for an issue (in case the regulator isn't the culprit)?  If the regulator does need replacing, you mention contacting the distributor for a replacement regulator.  I bought it here, but it looks like the board was supplied by SparkFun in my case?  So contact them?
