USB Infrared Toy / UIB IR Toy 2 on Win 8.1
I just purchased the USB IR Toy v2.

Based on this forums responses, I tried several methods of upgrading my firmware but always ended up with the following:
fw_update -e -w -v -m flash -vid 0x04D8 -pid 0xFD0B -ix USBIRToy.v22.hex
U2IO flash erasing: FAILED.
Device is not found.
Operation aborted.

Then I removed the jumper and initiated the bootloader (since it installed on COM3) and now I am stuck with an LED light even if the PDG/PGC jumper is not on.

I don't have access to a linux machine or a Windows XP.

Any help is appreciated.
