General discussion / 48/50 pin TFT screen for STM32F429
I’ve been working with a STM32F429 Disco board, which includes a little ILI9341 driven 2.4” TFT screen. It’s the first time I’ve used a screen with an MCU that’s connected directly to the RGB data lines (rather than just SPI) and really like the speed and colors, but unfortunately I’m having a difficult time finding a 48 or 50 pin TFT 2.8” to take testing off the ST dev board (and get a little larger picture).

Seems that most bare ILI9341 2.8” TFTs out there are the 37 pin 8-bit/16-bit type (with RGB data lines D0-D8 or D0-D15), rather than the 48 or 50 pin versions with 18-bit RGB (data lines D0-D17), as well as inputs for HSYNC, VSYNC, and DOTCLK signal, which also seem to be lacking in the 37 pin screens.

Does anyone have any tips on a source for these larger pinout 18-bit 2.8” TFTs, preferably that you’ve ordered from and can confirm quality/availability? So far all I’ve found is Adafruit’s over priced MI0283QT-11…
