DirtyPCBs support / How does my first panel look?
Hello all,

My current design is only 21mm^2 so I thought I would do a 4x4 panel to make the most of the 50mm boards.

This is the first time I've done it, I asked before about how to indicate a v groove to the board house but didn't get a straight answer, so decided to try the mouse nibble method.

How does my attempt look? Will this make it through the board house?

The holes are 0.6mm drills, spaced 0.75mm apart (on their centers):

Bonus question, I've got 1x2mm slots in the red pads in the 4 corners of the above photos, think those will get cut correctly? (The boxes are lines drawn on the dimension layer) (I don't mind if they are through plated or not)

Cheers

DirtyPCBs support / Getting Stencil8 Holes correct
Hey all,

Anyone managed to get a stencil back with stencil8 holes intact?

I've used adding a round pad in the same spot as a drill of the same size in eagle to create a hole for the location peg to be drilled in the pcb, as well as a hole in the stencil to allow the stencil to locate over the pegs too. My GTP looks like this (note the 4 circles in the corners):

[attachment=1]

But the stencil I got back has had those removed:

[attachment=0]

It's still a working stencil so I can't complain, but it would be good to know for next time so I can make sure that making space for the holes in my design doesn't go to waste :) (and actually get around to using my stencil8 block after owning it for a couple of years)

Thanks as always to the boys and girls at DP!

DirtyPCBs support / Re: How do I add v-groove to my PCB?
Heh, Sadly with my design I really don't have the room for slots, I also can't add the joining tabs and nibbles without having the sand them back. Thats too much of a pain in the bum :)

DirtyPCBs support / Overall order status showing "Order received"
(this applies to the new dev site)

This is more of a heads up (and a feature request) that if you have non production items in an order (like pogo pins) your order will still show as "Order received" in the order list even if your PCBs get updated to "In Production" on your order sheet.

So if you think its taking a while for your boards to make it to the fab house, its worth checking the full order details page :)

Also, is the twitter bot not hooked up to the new site yet? Not gotten my tweets of happy pcb times!

Cheers

Sol
