USB Infrared Toy / raspberry pi 2 unable to get Device Status: 0x0000
Is a power usb hub a requirement. Currently i have no usb devices except the usb infrared toy pluggd in through a mini usb to usb cable.  I am unable to get lusb -v to show 0x0000 status it shows up

  Device Status:    0x0001
    Self Powered

i ran the self test in windows and it passes. Do i need it to be 0x0000 status to get lirc working?
