Overview

Making a new part in eagle is easy. You only need the part's datasheet with pin out diagram and the footprint information. You can get these data from the manufacturer's websites.

Example part

Lets take LM5022 as an example part. Datasheet 600px We will make a footprint for this part. Here is a link to the datasheet.

Some of the components datasheet are only supplied with a packaging information these are not the one you need, this only give you the pin dimensions not the land pattern.
