TechBitar writes, “This hack intercepts sensors data from an Android phone, sends data to a Bluetooth HC-05 module to Arduino which then translates it into an IR remote control code to trigger actions such as lower/increase TV volume, increase/decrease heater temperature, and any action that can be triggered with about 12 sensors found in Android phones.”

test comment, are we having that speed problem again?
“For this guide, as an example, I will use the IR Remote Control Station to fight back against loud and annoying TV and radio commercials by sensing the audio level with Android/SensoDuino then sensing remote control commands to turn down the volume.”
Indeed… I live in SE Asia and TV commercials are prolific and LOUD. Every time one of these blasting commercials come on I just MUTE the TV or change the channel. This defeats the purpose of the commercials in the first place. What are these Marketing Goons that make these commercials thinking?
On my list of things is to make a more effective ALC circuit to quash these commercials. Far less complicated than having a smart phone in the loop. My TV’s attempt to do this, but they’re not as effective as the evil commercial producers know this and just pump up the volume even more!
who watches TV anyway ?? If I watch something it’s on YT or other sites
