Bus Pirate v1a: End of support

Posted on Monday, October 4th, 2010 in Bus Pirate by Ian

Each Bus Pirate upgrade package includes firmware for Bus Pirate v3/v2go and the older v1a hardware. If nobody uses the v1a firmware, it doesn’t make sense for us to keep releasing it.

This is the second call for any v1a users to make themselves known. If nobody needs the firmware we’ll stop building it.

I’m still using it. Can you please maintain it?

I still use v1, and would very gladly accept firmware updates if available (but I also have a v2go too). Overall I think I’d prefer to discontinue support for v1 if it means better feature impact for the later versions… i.e. don’t let v1 support hold any v2+ features back.

Thanks, and thanks for your hard work and great projects.

I’m still using the v1 too, it would be great if you keep supporting it
