Time flies! No one believes this is the last day of Hacker Camp Shenzhen. There’s just one event left. A Hacker Shaokao (BBQ), and every hacker in Shenzhen is invited. Once again, we gathered at Exit C of Science museum metro stop, where every event started throughout the whole workshop. See the hacker BBQ chaos below the break!

Hacker Shaokao is a tradition in Shenzhen. Whenever a group of hackers visit we gather at the Window of World street food area to eat, drink, and sing the night away. When we arrive there aren’t enough seats and tables to accommodate 80 hackers, but we scramble and rent tables from every joint in the place.

Everyone is invited to this Shenzhen tradition passed along for at least the last 4 years. It’s origin is unknown, but highly fabled. All we know now is that if we’re lucky Akiba will break dance.

Everybody goes to little stands to order food for the group. A central bar provides jugs of beer for everyone. This is an amazing place!

People walk by and wonder why there are so many foreigners. Unfortunately, there are no Shaizi dice to play with.

Marcin is very interested in Bunnie’s t-shirt.

Malatang!

Stir fry noodles.

We must be lucky. Akiba breaks out the moves and everybody stops to watch the show.

Jin, Zack, Ian, Skyler, Marcin stop eating long enough to pose for a picture.

Random fireworks make an appearance during the evening.

At the end of the night, Ian and Jin raise their beer to everyone who made this an amazing first Hacker Camp Shenzhen. We hope to see everybody again soon, thanks your support.
