I wonder if they actually give you a book or whether they just give you a link to a PDF? Anybody gone for this?

    • It actually says “limited number of *hardcopies* of FRAM for Dummies”. They did give away these a while back and I got one of them. Not so many pages and with bad paper quality – but still a real physical book made out of dead trees :-)

Bad Paper sounds like the old National Semi data books, breath on them and the pages fall apart!

Did it a long time back, got a physical book

Thanks Mats, the Mouser page doesn’t actually say “hard copies”, that’s why I was wondering. Thanks Andreas, I might look into this. Will be interesting to see if this is anything remotely like the old core memory. I’ve still got a board with a nice core memory on it, about 5″ x 5″ I think it is, But then I’ve got S100 systems too and paper tape readers/punches – lol.

Well I just signed up and it says it will be shipping soon and will be 2-3 weeks, so seems it is dead trees (let’s hope they are recycled dead trees ;)
