Embedded Lab designed a mini breakout board for 18-pin PIC16F series microcontroller:

This mini breakout board is designed to simplify prototyping and experimentation work with the popular 18-pin PIC16F series microcontrollers. It is small in size (1.95″ X 0.75″) and is breadboard friendly.

  1. http://www.howtronics.com have had those for 8 pin to 28 pin PICs for years.
I use them in my books all the time.

      Nearly twice the price though

      • CHIPAXE is fully assembled and includes the PIC microcontroller. So that accounts for the price difference.
Also I like the fact CHIPAXE has the pin names on the silk screen so its easier to find the right pin without having to look at a data sheet.
It’s an even better deal if you buy the set of four so you’ve got 8 pin to 28 pin covered.

These are all great modules and make breadboard development so much easier, I just like to see the originators get a little credit as well.
