Simple surface mount reflow process done at home
This video explains a simple reflow PCB assembly technique. The board is first prepped with solderpaste using a stencil. Then a manual pick and place machine populates the board. This is followed by a 5-6 minute cook in the reflow oven.

Do I see a tantalum capacitor just before the opening of this microsd socket? O_o
It is a hinged socket and opens fine, so no worries ! :)
ah, nice ;)
Unfortunately, this SME-music-content is not available in Germany because GEMA has not granted the respective music publishing rights.
I hate it.
Why do we need copyrighted music as a background for such videos? :/
Yes, I was disappointed too :( I didn’t expect this block, sorry German friends !
While this is very good and I like the video it wasnt quite what I was expecting.
The “at home” part of the title made me thing this was something you could do with some basic equipment but it’s basically “buy cheap low end professional equipment and use it *at home*”. That’s fine and the video is good, and makes you realize it’s possible :)
Thanks for the video well done. Were you placing the components with a syringe? How did you make the solder mask?
