Akihabara’s best picks

As promised, here are the pictures of stuff we found cool at Akihabara shops. Even though the prices are a little higher then eBay or TaoBao, Akihabara offers you to touch and feel components you couldn’t online. Similar to Shenzhen’s electronic markets, with the advantage that you don’t have to bargain for everything you buy. More pictures below the fold.

Hakko soldering iron tips. Checked closely but didn’t find any mini wave soldering tips with the small well.

Goot solder flux in liquid brush on form. One of our favorites from the flux offs.

Some of the finest gauge solder we work with came from here.

Blank PCBs, perf boards, sensitized PCBs for photo production, and various breakout boards.

Various parts and components.

Chips and stuff. Most way more expensive than a catalog but easy to grab in a hurry.

Capacitors selection. Put them in the basket and then proceed to checkout.

Various kits and breakout boards.

Garbed a few empty cell phone cases for Matseng.

Pickit 3 on sale.
