Stellaris Launchpad OLED display progress

in dev boards by DP | 8 comments

Bluehash is porting The Terminal user interface for the MSP430 to the Stellaris Launchpad.

The 43oh OLED Display – The Terminal has been a suitable UI platform for the MSP430 Launchpad. I wish to extend the same functionality to the Stellaris Launchpad too.

    Thanks DP.
I’d like to point out that although I’m now close to completion. .. I’ve been using the Stellaris graphicLib from StellarisWare.
Unfortunately, the license terms of graphicLib prohibit me from posting the full project online. I can post my core project.. but a user will have to download StellarisWare from TI to get it working. I’m king of dejected, but can see their side too.

For better terms… the driverlib in StellarisWare in under BSD.. and is freely distributable.

HI, I was wondering where you found a socket for the OLED. I have a similar model and I can’t start working with it until I find a socket. It’s a 37 pin flexible ribbon cable it has.
    Thanks!

I have all of the above parts… Is it electrically correct & only a software operation to make the display work? I am very interested in your progress with this display. Any way to get the source or some examples of how your getting this to work?

    Roger,
That’s great! In fact more progress than me. If you have time, could you post your progress in the below thread:
    http://forum.stellarisiti.com/topic/227-the-terminal-stellarisiti-oled-boosterpack/

or you can start your own thread.

Also, there is a driver by gwdeveloper here.
