PCB Visualizer – Free online PCB data verification service

PCB Visualizer is a free online PCB verification service. Basically you upload your gerbers, setup the design rule check (DRC), and you get a graphical representation of what your PCB will look like. It points out any problems that didn’t pass the DRC.

The moment i saw this blog entry in my RSS feed i know it was a Eurocircuits service, it almost looks exactly like the visualizer tool they have on there main site for some time.
The bad part is that it can take some time to get the visualizer data back depending on the complexity of your gerbers.
Also the PCB’s they make are high quality but that’s what you pay for.
I use them for my hobby stuff when i need my PCB’s quick and at my work where we use them almost all the time.
I always wonder about such an online service- if you upload gerbers, does that mean they become public? Not an issue if it’s open hardware, but not sure if I could use something like this at work.
I can personally vouch for the privacy and integrity of Eurocircuits with regards to keeping your data private and secure.
I had a reason to try and get some old company data from them (company changed owners and slight name change) and EuroCircuits were very careful about checking ownership before releasing.
