TI announces C2000 Launchpad release
Trey German from TI write: “We just announced the C2000 LaunchPad today and I thought it might be a nice addition to your blog. Its a sister board to the MSP430 LaunchPad and is pin compatible so boosterpacks will work with any launchpad. The board costs $17 and includes an isolated high speed USB debugger and 60MHz F28027 Piccolo device.”

If I was TI I would quite embarrassed with this video, man come on, I’m sure that can do better, because worse is difficult.
Worst video ever!!. Looks homemade (in the ’80).
I thought it was pretty funny, and I think that was what they were shooting for. I think it portrays them as having a sense of humor, as opposed to being your typical boring, dry, proffesional company. I’d say this would put them in a more favorable light for them youngsters… but I don’t know, that’s just what I took away from this video. A strategic and (in my opinion) well executed PR move.
Hilarious video!
That aside, now I might jus have to get.one of theses C2000 units to play around with.
It would be great if Dev boards were always low cost
Seriously TI? That is the best you can come up with?
Pretty sure it’s tongue in cheek.
Sadly, I identify more with the hapless bald engineer, both in looks and the number of jobs I have been fired from. Now I am crying in my beer – way to go TI, LAUNCHPAD! sotto voice (launchpad).
I love the video. it was pretty hilarious. I have been eagerly waiting for this board. At $17… this board offers so much more in terms of peripherals.
You guys should lighten up. :)
I LOL’ed! I really really LOL’ed! :) Reminds me of XO2 promo videos.
Being funny is hype nowadays, nice vid. lol
LOL. Video is great!!
Works for me! I just did this new Chick. When the time came I screamed, “Thanks LaunchPad!” Talk about weird looks…
Nearly idiotic as this video from Farnell… http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=81aDt0P6t5w#
I like the video, it reminds me of M$ commercial with its now-CEO (back then he was just sales person) in 80′s.
After trying different kind of dev board and various MCU from different vendors, I finally fall in love with TI’s msp430. It’s really cool.
