EzPSoC3 Ethernet adapter

Kmmankad designed and built an Ethernet adapter for his EzPSoC3 Cypress PSoC3 development board. It features the Ethernet to serial IC ENC28J60 and an open source stack he has written, that is available at github.

Is that a plastic zip tie on a heat sink? I guess something like that wouldn’t get too hot, but that still was the first thing that caught my attention

Yeah,thats kinda a stupid idea.But this guy does 3.3V @ 250mA,so thats about 0.8W…I needed something to keep the heatsink on..Couldve used a metal clamp,but .. this aint gonna get _real_ hot,so I figured,why not.
Back in the day when we overclocked the early 286/386 hardware they started using surface mount chips when they improved the process and failures were minimum. So we used a heat sink with thermal transfer coumpound and put a couple drops of epoxy on the chip in the corners to attach it. It worked pretty well.
