New scripting tool makes PICkit3 compatible with PICkit2

Microchip released a scripting tool for the PicKIT 3 that essentially turns it into a PicKIT2. Why do that? There’s a huge software ecosystem for PicKIT2, it’s a popular programmer and debugger that’s been around for year. In version 3 Microchip completely changed the PicKIT and made it incompatible with the existing software. The downside is that this firmware is not supported from inside MPLAB, so in-circuit debugging isn’t possible.

PicKIT3 is yet another mistake made by Microchip. This script is like putting a band-aid on a gunshot wound.
The PICkit2 and PICKit3 are not support new faster devices made by microchip and this problem forces me to migrate to ARM microcontrollers. Also the 10 bit resolution is not enough for a 32 bit application.

of what use then are the powerful high ends without a handy implimenting tool. – A car without a driver , …..
every one would be grateful if microchip rises to look at this issue on time….
