Jameco Puzzler
In the above figure, what is the simplest way to light the LED when a ball strikes the bull’s eye? The catch: The game should not use a battery or external source of power. Check the Jameco site for the solution to this electronics puzzle.

Their solution says to use a piezo disk to generate current for the LED. Is this realistic? Seems like the amount of amperage you’d get out of a typical piezo disk would be too small to light an LED (at least an LED visible from a few feet from the target), but I’ve never experimented with one.
I’d instead vote for some sort of solenoid-in-reverse for the target…
